Frequently Asked Questions

Will this Bosch part fit my 1997-2001 Audi A4 1.8T?
That application is listed, but confirm the exact Bosch and OE numbers, engine, production date, connector, mounting location, and every vehicle service note before ordering.

What should I diagnose before replacing this electronic throttle body?
Confirm the fault with appropriate testing and inspect related wiring, connectors, grounds, seals, hoses, fuses, relays, mechanical systems, and stored diagnostic codes. A code alone does not always identify a failed part.

Will installation require programming or adaptation?
Requirements vary by vehicle and component. Check the factory service procedure for coding, adaptation, calibration, bleeding, torque, sealing, and post-repair diagnostic steps before installation.

Installation Instructions

Follow the current Bosch instructions and factory service information for this exact part number. Disconnect power and relieve fuel or cooling-system pressure when required, protect connectors and sealing surfaces, use new seals when specified, observe torque and cleanliness procedures, complete any coding, adaptation, calibration, or bleeding steps, clear faults only after repair, and verify operation. Professional diagnosis and installation are recommended.
